Radiant Orchid

Since 2010, Sephora has been collaborating with Pantone, the authority on color, to create a makeup palette based on Pantone’s color of the year. I’m pleased that 2014’s winner is Radiant Orchid—especially since, at least in terms of makeup, it’s much more flattering than Tangerine Tango and Emerald, the shades that preceded it. Sephora tapped the makeup genius Aaron de Mey to work on this nine-item orchid collection, which includes an eye shadow and a few lip colors; I’m most drawn to the Rush Luster Cheek Sweep. The vibrant orchid blush comes with a pale pink and a nude powder, for those who prefer their orchid a bit less radiant.
