The Look: Cozy in the cold—terracotta red shadow by Carol Colombani for MAC gave eyes a midwinter flush. Kérastase hairstylist Odile Gilbert gave hair a round, fuzzy effect with loose, static-y ponytails (the models all looked as they they had just pulled big wool sweaters over their heads). The nails were covered in flakes of gold‹real 24k gold.

The Products: MAC Eye Shadow in Love’s Lure (out in spring 2013), Kérastase Age Premium Mousse Substantif, and Rococo 24k Gold Leaf Nail Lacquer.

The Trick: As a foundation for the red eye shadow, Colombani mixed together eye cream and beige shadow powder to create a velvety neutral wash that looks “more alive,” she said.

The Scoop: The beauty editors backstage were enamored with the window-like clear nails on Rococo nail artist Casey Herman. She made them herself using gel lacquer.
