Diego Della Valle is taking window-shopping to a new level. The Tod’s chairman has enlisted visual masters from three realms—French product designer Patrick Norguet, English architects BarberOsgerby and Dutch artist Ineke Hans—to create the spring window displays for Tod’s boutiques. Norguet’s window features brightly colored shelves made of iron rods; BarberOsgerby’s is a striking resin display, informed by the inner workings of a camera; and Hans’s nature-inspired creation is fabricated from sandblasted wood. The windows will be rolled out at Tod’s stores worldwide starting in February. “It is important to surprise the public and to stimulate it emotionally,” said Italian architect Giulio Cappellini, whom Della Valle tapped to oversee the project.
