Tom Ford: The Boys Club
In August, I worked the Tom Ford counter at Saks Fifth Avenue for the store’s second annual Beauty Editors Day, which raises money for the cancer charity Look Good Feel Better. I thoroughly enjoyed spritzing unsuspecting customers with my favorite TF scent (Lys Fume) and making a mess of the lipstick display (sorry, guys). But my one regret is that I wasn’t able to spread my love of Ford’s men’s skincare line (above), out this month. Though formulated for the male epidermis, which tends to be thicker and oilier, some of the line’s eight products are gender neutral—at least as far as I’m concerned. So while my husband is trying the Oil-Free Daily Moisturizer ($105, neimanmarcus.com), I’ve nabbed the Hydrating Lip Balm ($25). Unfortunately, our mutual obsession with—and inability to share—the Intensive Purifying Mud Mask ($60) could land us in couples therapy.
