Since she broke out as a ringleader of the Young British Artists pack in the Nineties, Tracey Emin has been anything but shy about putting her personal life—in all its explicit sexual detail—forward as the basis for her work. A major survey at London’s Hayward Gallery at Southbank Centre (May 18 to August 29) purports to examine “every period of her career,” a retrospective and memoir rolled into one.
