This summer, Alessandra Balazs—daughter of Andre Balazs and Katie Ford—got a taste of the hard life. The Riverdale Country School senior made her acting debut, as a jailed teen prostitute in a Lifetime movie tentatively titled Racing for Time. The flick is set in a juvenile-delinquent center in Texas, where inmates bond after a kindly warden helps them form a running team. Balazs’s character tries to kill herself when her pimp neglects to visit her, but the junior jetsetter was, fortunately, spared from performing the attempt. “It’s implied when I show up drenched in blood and pass out,” she says.
