On Monday night, Noah Baumbach premiered his new comedy, While We’re Young, at the Paris Theatre in New York for an audience including Wes Anderson, Spike Jonze, Dree Hemingway, and Greta Gerwig. The film tells the story of a Cornelia (Naomi Watts) and Josh (Ben Stiller), a middle-aged New York couple who unexpectedly befriend Darby (Amanda Seyfried) and Jamie (Adam Driver), a couple of 20-something Brooklyn hipsters. Seyfried, who looked stunning at the screening in a red Valentino dress and sleek braids, confessed to channeling Taylor Swift when developing her youthful character. “She’s promoting knowing yourself,” Seyfried said. “That’s the best kind of hip.” After the screening, Seyfried and the rest of the cast headed over to Lexington Brass where they sipped a high-low mix of cocktails and Brooklyn-approved buckets of beer.
