What: A cocktail party in celebration of the US Launch of the Women’s Brain Health Initiative, a Canadian organization that funds research for Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other brain-related diseases in women. When: Monday, March 23rd Where: Stephan Weiss Studio, the former art studio of designer Donna Karan’s late husband. Who: The evening’s hosts—Barbara Walters, Arianna Huffington, Trudie Styler, Martha Stewart, Wendi Murdoch, Ivanka Trump, and Tamara Mellon—recruited a chic crowd, from legendary supermodels Carol Alt, Pat Cleveland, and Marisa Berenson, to modern day It girls like Constance Jablonski, Alexandra Richards, and Lindsay Ellingson. Why: Julianne Moore’s recent Oscar-winning role in Still Alice got everyone talking about Alzheimer’s—and with this organization’s help, perhaps a cure is near.
