Like so many others, I start looking around for something new when the weather turns (usually while insisting that I’m perfectly happy with what I already have). But there’s too much beautiful newness this month in the fragrance world to pass up. For the upcoming season, we’re seeing succulent orange blossom is still having its moment, creamy vanillas and ouds remain everywhere, and amber continues to do the heavy lifting it has been for centuries to create a comforting yet elegant, alluring vibe.
This fall there are also the more interesting departures, like the incredible velvet and sesame infusion from Dries Van Noten’s Velvet Violet and Louis Vuitton’s Tea Storm, one of our favorite releases of the season. Below are 18 new fall fragrances you need to transition neatly into cooler temps.
