Angelina and Zahara Jolie Mean Business In Matching Black

Angelina and Zahara Jolie are once again aesthetically in sync. Last night, the pair made a rare mother-daughter red-carpet appearance in darkly romantic eveningwear ensembles.

At a screening for her new directorial effort, Without Blood, in New York City, a 51-year-old Jolie wore a plunging double-breasted suit from Tom Ford’s fall 2025 collection. She left the front partially unbuttoned, to reveal an ivory satin bra lined with delicate lace. Finishing the look were Fendi’s Illusion pumps, which featured a pointy toe and a clear heel that created a floating effect.

As for 21-year-old Zahara, she echoed the sartorial sentiment in her own way, wearing a floor length V-neck gown with a middle knot detail that gave the dress a textural twist. Walking hand-in-hand, the pair exuded effortless all-black coordination.

Without Blood—which marks Jolie’s sixth film as a director—is an Italian war drama based on Alessandro Baricco’s book of the same name. After premiering in the Special Presentations section at Toronto International Film Festival in 2024, it will make its American theatrical release on September 18. At the Monday-night screening, held at the East Village’s Angelika Film Center, Jolie was joined by cast members Salma Hayek Pinault, Demián Bichir, and Juan Minujín for a post-viewing panel discussion. It also doubled as a special celebration for her longtime fans, who lined up outside to get her autograph on posters, signs, and memorabilia of her past work—including a Lara Croft Tomb Raider action figure.

Jolie was last spotted doing film promotion in June, stepping out for a screening of her movie Couture in another black Tom Ford look. That time, however, it featured an exaggerated sweetheart neckline and a grand, floor-grazing column silhouette. As for her last red-carpet moment with Zahara, that was at the 2025 Golden Globes, where they both donned intricately embroidered evening gowns.

Naturally, now that she’s back in the director’s chair, Jolie’s outfit is business minded, with strong tailoring and just the right amount of undone ease. Regardless of which career chapter she’s in, one thing remains true: Angelina Jolie knows how to make a statement in all-black. And clearly, so does Zahara.
