On August 26, Bieber was seen out in Los Angeles, where she was photographed in a causal but stylish outfit. The 29-year-old wore a baby blue long-sleeved v-neck with a pair of slightly cropped trousers. A Kelly green Chanel shoulder bag added a pop of color while a pair of mules grounded her.

Now, at first glance, these shoes look like they have the form of a pair of hotel slippers, but closer inspection reveals them to be the Penelope mules from The Row. In practice, these low-effort shoes add an air of coolness to a look, especially an already laid-back one like Bieber’s tee and pants. They’re chic, but simple, and most importantly, they’re comfortable. Bieber isn’t the first to champion the style. Jennifer Lawrence was spotted wearing a very similar pair last spring while strolling around New York, proving their utility.
