Hotel Bloomingdale's Is a Retreat From the Ordinary

A resort-like experience with spa treatments and limited-edition gifts that invite you to stay a little longer.

by Kat Guerrero

The trips that stick with you rarely have anything to do with the destination. It's the feeling that comes with stepping into another world. The perfect find at a vintage market, the kitschy souvenir you love anyway. You know this dance. To discover a place is to discover what's in it.

Hotel Bloomingdale's makes a season out of it: part exploration, part five-star welcome, no passport required. Wander the floors like it's a new city and find the details that turn a stop into a stay. Every unexpected detail is a reason to linger.

On deck: an Art Deco lounge from Kilian pops up in select stores, pouring custom cocktails alongside scent consultations and bottle engraving upon request. At the 59th Street Flagship, a temporary spa residence from La Prairie introduces a new facial around hydration and glow. The Flagship also gets the white-glove treatment with pop-ups, limited-edition capsules, and even a residency with The Ritz-Carlton inside Studio 59. As no trip is complete without a memento, the Hotel's gift shop holds a few good ones: an embroidered Frette robe, a tasseled door hanger, the little things that bring the holiday home.

See you at check-in.
