3 Designers to Watch from Prague

Here, highlights from Prague Fashion Week’s Spring 2016 season.

Martina Spetlova After studying chemistry in Prague, Spetlova moved to London and began designing her eponymous collection—which turned out to be a rewarding gamble. The fine-tuned artisanal quality and craftsmanship of her hand-woven, leather pieces immediately caught the eye of international buyers, and her designs are now stocked at Dover Street Market.

Chatty After initially launching a custom denim business that specialized in crisp, tailored pieces, the design duo behind Chatty have now expanded into shirting. A standout look from their Spring 2016 show included both elements—a fresh, wide-leg denim trouser paired with an oversized shirt that extended into an exaggerated cuff.

Daniela Peskova This young designer, who is currently a student at UMPRUM in Prague, has a conceptual vision for fashion, and mixes both rough and refined materials into her collection. This white look was a highlight that embodied her unexpected, thoughtful approach to design.
