The 2016 Runways Were Lit

Alexander Wang

It was high times on the 2016 runways for fall and spring this year. Alexander Wang showed lacy ganja-leaf gowns and Baja East accessorized with a more subtle pot humor. With the help of stylist Erykah Badu, Pyer Moss took a more serious approach with a message about anti-depressants and drugs that “numb the pain,” in her words. Meanwhile, designers Jeremy Scott and Demna Gvasalia stuck with old fashion cigarettes and lighters. Maybe they’ll all go green by 4/20 of 2017.
