Bill Cunningham Remembered by Street Style Photographers

by W Staff

It’s fair to say Bill Cunningham, who died Saturday at 87, was the original street style photographer, a master who pioneered a new genre of fashion photography that is now ubiquitous. Even as the younger children, as he would have called them, took over the streets, snapping away at front-row fixtures and other colorful New York characters, Cunningham not only kept up with them but became an idol walking beside them. Here, street style photographers remember their Bill Cunningham.
