And the Nominees Are…

On Monday night, Diane von Furstenberg and Nadja Swarovski brought together fashion’s finest to announce the nominees and honorees for the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards. Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen of The Row, who are nominated for both Womenswear and Accessories Designer of the Year, were there, as were Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School, who are nominated for both Menswear Designer of the Year and the Swarovski Award for Womenswear. Thom Browne, Shayne Oliver of Hood by Air, Shimon Ovadia of Ovadia & Sons, Paul Andrew, Eva Zuckerman of Eva Fehren, and Rachel Mansur of Mansur Gavriel—all nominees—also joined in the festivities, held in the Weather Room at the Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. Mickey Drexler, the CEO and Chairman of J. Crew, who will receive the Founders Award, and Betsey Johnson, who will receive the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, joined CFDA CEO Steven Kolb on stage—and showed the new designers just how much it’s possible to achieve.
