Come fall, it’s time to show them who is queen of the fashion jungle. Luckily, there is no better season to do so, thanks to a number of designers walking on the wild side with a bevy of animal prints and patterns. Perhaps nothing makes a bigger statement than a truly notice-me overcoat, like Marni’s tiger-striped jacket lined in fuzzy blue fur or Maison Margiela‘s ankle-grazing red snakeskin coat. For something a bit more subtle—but still eye-catching; we are talking about animal prints here—look to Hermès’s lovely patterned dresses of Valentino’s folkish patchwork coats. When it comes to this season, there’s no wrong way to be wild. Here, stylist Lotta Volkova demonstrates the best ways to invoke some animal instinct into your wardrobe.
