In times of political turbulence, there’s some traditions we can all agree on, like the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a New York City fixture since 1924 that draws people of all ideological persuasions, colors and creeds to celebrate under a canopy of big, inflatable balloons high over the Manhattan skyline.
