Francisco Costa Left the Out of Order Dinner Before the Tabletop Dancing Commenced
As everyone awaits Raf Simons’s debut at Calvin Klein on Friday, Francisco Costa, the brand’s former creative director, remained blithely coy about his future plans at the Bulgari dinner with Out of Order‘s, at Mr. Chow in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The little magazine that could has carved out a chicly attended niche where art and fashion overlap, and the guests—Costa, Cynthia Rowley, India Menuez, Zachary Quinto, Jon Kortajarena, Jacolby Satterwhite, the singer Maxwell, and others—reflected that alchemy. Although Out of Order editor Dorian Grinspan celebrated the magazine’s fifth birthday with a toast, don’t worry that it’s maturing too fast. Once the last chicken satay had been put away, the tables were pushed back to make room for a dance floor. That is, save for a few remaining tabletops, which became the dance floor. Kids will still be kids.
