The Ultimate Holiday Beauty Look: a Twinkle in Your Eye
From Paris runways to Pat McGrath’s new makeup colors, it’s all about a glitter eyeshadow. Just in time for holiday parties (not to mention, New Year’s Eve), here are the three best ways to try on the trend.
1
When doing a glitter eye look, says makeup artist Yu-ki Hayashi, “complete your eye look first. That way, you can wipe away any excess glitter and start fresh on the rest of your face.”
2
“Use either an eyeshadow primer or sealer, especially if you have oily lids,” says Hayashi. “This will not only keep the makeup from sliding off, it will create an even base and help it last longer.”
3
“Since the eyes are already very intense, its important to keep modern textures on the rest of the face, like dewy skin and highlighting,” says Hayashi.
