Julia Roberts, Demi Moore, and Kate Bosworth wore their red carpet finest. Zoe Saldana slipped into yet another chic pregnancy ensemble. And petite star Kiernan Shipka took her turn in front of the cameras. If the Hammer Museum‘s 12th annual Gala in the Garden Saturday night in Los Angeles resembled the Golden Globes, is goes to show that art loves Hollywood and Hollywood loves art. (And lest we forget the important role that fashion plays in this three-way romance, the evening’s sponsor, Bottega Veneta, certainly helped to up the glam factor.) The gala’s co-chairs, Danna and Ed Ruscha, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, and Bottega Veneta designer Tomas Maier, represented their respective industries with equal merit. For the record, there were artists present, too, like Barbara Kruger, John Baldessari, and Mark Bradford, the latter of whom was honored, along with Joni Mitchell (art historian Sarah Lewis and Cameron Crowe delivered their respective tribute speeches). All together now.
