How Kendall Jenner and Rihanna Make Lingerie Red Carpet Appropriate
Rihanna once famously declared in Vogue, “‘If I’m wearing a top, I don’t wear a bra. If I’m wearing a bra, I just wear a bra.'” Apparently, Rihanna isn’t the only one with this fashion mantra, as lingerie as outerwear has become one of the most popular trends when it comes to the red carpet. This week, Victoria’s Secret Angels like Lily Aldridge, Taylor Hill, and Adriana Lima descended upon New York for their fashion show fittings, ducking into the underwear headquarters in street-ready looks that showed off their vast lingerie collection. But you don’t have to be an Angel to master the look; earlier this week, Paris Jackson took to the VMAs red carpet in a sheer Dior gown, while Charlize Theron attended the premiere of her film Atomic Blonde last month is a sheer blouse and exposed bra.
