Lourdes Leon Made a Rare Public Appearance For the Sake of Art
While Madonna had a very big week—first turning 60 years old with a blowout party in the desert and then presenting a much discussed “tribute” to Aretha Franklin at the 2018 VMAs—her daughter, Lourdes Leon, is traditionally one to keep a much lower profile than her mother. This week, though, the 21-year-old made a rare public appearance to attend the RCVA-hosted opening reception for “NOW & THEN: A Decade of Beautiful Losers,” a new exhibition that revisits a community of artists affiliated with the Alleged Gallery in Manhattan in the early 1990’s. Also this week, Kim Kardashian stepped out for an anniversary celebration for vintage mecca What Goes Around Comes Around, wearing a skintight vintage Versace dress, and Ciara feted the VMAs at a party hosted by Revlon to celebrate the launch of their new Volumazing mascara.
