Miley Cyrus’s Recent Red Carpet Successes

Miley Cyrus Style Evolution

The last time we chronicled Miley Cyrus’s life of style we found six hair colors, some crop tops and a beaded dress worthy of the world’s swankiest middle school dance. But Miley’s sartorial surprises didn’t end there. Today, the young star hits the party circuit in everything from glamorous Tom Ford gowns to eccentric Jeremy Scott creations. See the best looks here.

When we last left off with Miley at the end of 2013, she was a smiley, blonde crop top wearer with a penchant for talon-like nails and black-and-white creepers. But the star took a more sophisticated turn for an appearance at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, accenting her same cropped hair and top with chic metallic sandals and minimal accessories (i.e. not a nail extension in sight).

But Cyrus wasn’t finished making a scene. For the 2014 amfAR LA Inspiration Gala, the pop star bared almost all in a Tom Ford Spring 2015 dress with some strategically placed panels.

If anything, Miley Cyrus is a brand loyalist. If she loves a designer, she will wear their designs again and again. One very special example: Jeremy Scott, with whom she collaborated for his Spring 2015 show. The pop star wears his designs for Moschino here.

While Cyrus’s on-stage wardrobe is generally a snapped spandex scandal waiting to happen, her red carpet style is generally very chic and elegant. She proved just that at the opening of W’s Shooting Stars exhibit in L.A., where she turned heads in a ‘70s-style Balmain jumpsuit and clean, bold brows.

The star proved red lipstick and nails are not “too much” when paired with a red dress—with the right dress, that is. Her minimalist gown, worn to the Pre-Grammy Gala, is Alexandre Vaulthier.

Showing her loyalty to Tom Ford, the singer took to his Fall 2015 show in L.A. in one of his lace dresses, diamond earrings, and a sweetly dramatic cat-eye.
