Death to Tennis Is the Most D.G.A.F Men’s Brand Out There

Now that the men’s spring 2017 fashion shows are over, it may be time to look at a new brand that isn’t buying into any of it. Designers Vincent Oshin and William Watson of Death to Tennis approach their collections with the philosophy: “Why so serious? It’s only clothes.” And whether or not you believe or agree with what they preach, it’s certainly a different tune. “The idea of the name was initially a joke,” Oshin and Watson wrote jointly. “People have long philosophies about nothing, especially for men’s shirts and trousers. Like, ‘We made this in blah blah from blah…’ And you are like, ‘No, it’s a bloody T-shirt!!!’ We are not reinventing anything new; it’s just our take on existing pieces.” ‘Classic’ is one of the few words Oshin and Watson use to describe their collections, as well as ‘confident.’ And the latter is loud and clear. Here, a look at their spring 2017 lookbook, starring Public School model Jazzelle from Detroit.
