When life gives you beautiful and talented friends, put them in your lookbook. This is exactly what the new Courrèges designers Arnaud Vaillant and Sebastien Meyer did for Fall 2017, and in lieu of a runway show they presented their photographs with an intimate presentation at their Paris studio. “We really wanted to gather people at the Courrèges headquarters because we felt that now, the greatest luxury of all is to be physically present in the same room, all together in real life,” they said. As an animated version of the lookbook played behind them, they spoke about their vision for the brand since taking over last year. Both in their twenties, Vaillant and Meyer want to convey a sense of optimism and youth with their clothing, which is partly why they cast all their coolest friends in the images. From Emily Marant, the niece of the famed Paris designer, to model Luka Isaac, who modeled alongside Kate Moss in W magazine, to the Instagram-famous buyer Leila Yavari, you’re going to want to follow every single one of these models, artists, actors, and photographers.
