Before the BAFTAs
On Saturday night, Julianne Moore, Cate Blanchett, Mark Ruffalo, and Leonardo DiCaprio were just a few of the guests dining at Annabel’s. It’s a tradition–for the past 16 years, Charles Finch, CEO of Finch & Partners, and Chanel have hosted a pre-BAFTA dinner at the swanky London club. In fact, the annual event is now the subject of a new book by Finch, The Night Before (Assouline) which includes previously unpublished images and a forward by John Malkovich. But this year was a night to create new memories. Per usual, a mariachi band greeted guests upon arrival, and the flow of dry martinis throughout the evening. The cozy space, where Tom Ford, Eddie Redmayne, and Dakota Johnson were all in close proximity, was filled with crystal glasses and small vases of white ranunculus and hyacinths.
