Monday was a horrid day in New York City. Cold and slushy, the weather put a damper on fashion week. What a pleasure it was then to step into the basement of Skylight Modern in Chelsea. For his fall show, Thom Browne built a replica of Washington Square Park circa the Depression, the collection’s main theme, as his set. Models paraded by in his lovely confections – especially notable was the dramatic millinery – while old-timey ditties softly played in the background. One could have spent all day there. Photographed Isabel Martinez captured the scene.
