Monsters Come Alive In Walter Van Beirendonck’s Fantasy World

While Demna Gvasalia imagined the Bernie win that could have been with his fall 2017 menswear collection for Balenciaga, in another corner of Paris, Walter Van Beirendonck opted for a more conventional form of fantasy: monsters and other horned beasts, interspersed throughout a showing of oversized sleeves-turned-gloves, technicolor appliqués, pom poms, and a hint of the ordinary in the form of camo prints.
