It turns out, the 6 God has quite a penchant for rhyming couplets. Or so actress Bryce Dallas Howard learned when she picked up the lyrics to Drake's "Controlla," a song off his summer record Views, at the Toronto International Film Festival. She joins seven other stars of the festival in bringing their own dramatic interpretation to the track: Charlotte Le Bon, Emily Hampshire, Devon Terrell, Avi Nash (a convincing stand-in for Beenie Man, who is sampled on the original track), Chadwick Boseman, Angela Sarafyan, and Julia Ducournau all team up for the effort.

They're just the latest group of actors putting a new, deadpan spin on Drake — Laura Carmichael, Sarah Gadon, and more previously read out "One Dance" in an exclusive video for W. We can't imagine a better way to pay homage to Toronto's biggest export than to play with his oeuvre at his hometown's film festival. ("Controlla" might not be an Oscar contender, but TIFF is where awards season starts in earnest.)

Best of all: Barry actor Devon Terrell lends President Obama's trademark cadence to Drake's smooth lines. We were all riveted when the president revealed his day-to-night summer jams, including Frank Ocean and Beyoncé, Erykah Badu, and Justin Timberlake (and Okkervil River?). So it seems like not too much of a stretch that Obama might also be a Drake fan, right?
