What: Guests browsed racks of Bruno’s street chic designs, sipped champagne, and indulged in macaroons from a La Durée stand, while over-size images of Stella Tennant, the face of Bruno’s Spring campaign, looked down on the crowd. “I worked with the photographer, Mark Borthwick, for years, and the idea of Stella came to us very naturally,” explained Bruno. “She is such a natural beauty and has this mature, elegant quality. For me, she exactly represents the woman of today; she could be American, French, or English– a truly international and cosmopolitan woman.”

Where: The Vanessa Bruno pop-up store at 131 Greene Street.

When: Thursday, February 7th.

Why: Bruno promises that the next step will be a permanent boutique. “Bringing my brand here, I have seen [New York women] saying, ‘we’re so glad you came here because we can finally get [your things]!'” exclaimed Bruno. “Unfortunately, they’re not going all the time to Paris.” In honor of her American fans, and to fête the pop-up shop, Bruno created a limited edition version of her signature tote bag. “I made it out of the American flag—and made only 50 of them.”
