JANE'S ADDICTION

Take Me There

Three fragrances to whisk you elsewhere.

Ryan McGinley

A well-concocted fragrance can be truly transporting, and this fall some new scents have whisked me from my office tothe tiny village upstate where I feel most at home. The warm, woodsy notes of Roads Big Sky ($155, barneys.com) remind me of my favorite inn, and the agarwood, frankincense, and myrrh in Nomaterra New Orleans Datura ($195, nomaterra.com) evoke the old church in town. Rhubarb, cedar, and green olibanum in Nomenclature Orb_ital ($165, nomenclature.nyc) drop me onto my go-to hiking trail, and the post-hike coziness comes courtesy of Maison Margiela Replica by the Fireplace ($125, barneys.com) and Vilhelm Parfumerie Smoke Show ($245, barneys.com).
