Britt Robertson Sets a High Bar for Spring Florals

The Girlboss star proves her style chops off-screen in a Fendi minidress.

In the new Netflix series Girlboss, actress Britt Robertson plays Nastygal founder Sophia Amoruso (the series is based on Amoruso’s memoir of the same name) from the very inception of her company. Back in 2006, Amoruso was living in San Francisco, on the cusp of being evicted from her apartment, reselling vintage finds on eBay — a talent she leverages into the Nastygal site. As indicated in the trailer for the series, it’s “loosely based on a true story” — and by early reports, the show gives Amoruso’s tale an almost mythological cast, rendering her as an Energizer bunny of online fashion.

As the star of the show, Robertson proves herself equally fashion-adept on the red carpet as well as in character. She’s come a long way since Tomorrowland: For the series’ Hollywood premiere, she selected a cute Fendi minidress with floral embellishments, setting a high bar for spring style. It’s only April, and we may have found our favorite white dress already.

Who: Britt Robertson.

When: Monday, April 17.

Where: The premiere of Girlboss in Hollywood, California.

What: An off-white minidress by Fendi with white floral embellishments, white sandals, and a fresh-faced no-makeup look.

Why: The look originally appeared on the Fendi Spring 2017 runway, modeled by Stella Maxwell with peach-colored glitter lips and a girlish half-back hairstyle paired with knit trompe-l’oeil booties. On Robertson, the look is all grown up — she opts instead for a neutral lip and eye, glowing with the on-trend no-makeup look. The dress itself has a retro feel, a little modish with its patch pockets and floral appliqués. It contrasts with Robertson’s clean, brushed-back hair and strappy white sandals — completely contemporary details that make the look just a little more interesting. Plus, it’s just very cute. It’s spring, and Britt Robertson has the wardrobe on lock.
