The Crown‘s Claire Foy’s Just Debuted a New Hairstyle, and, Naturally, It’s Fit for a Queen
Actress Claire Foy unveiled a dramatic new pixie cut just in time for The Crown‘s season 2 premiere.
In The Crown, actress Claire Foy plays a young Queen Elizabeth II, wearing her hair on screen in a ’50s-era coiffed bob. Off duty, however, the British star has long wavy hair. Or, at least, she did.
At the season two premiere of The Crown in London, Foy hit the red carpet with a brand new haircut: an elegant, yet dramatic dark brown pixie cut. For the occasion, Foy wore her glossy brunette locks in side-swept soft waves. The British beauty kept the rest of her look rather simple in comparison to her embellished A-line Dior ensemble, with a lightly dusted golden smoky eye, a hint of rose cream blush of the cheeks and a natural pink sheen on the lip.
The look felt romantic and fresh. While Foy has been known to be experimental with her look in the past, filled with up dos and ever-changing hair colors, her latest hair transformation is fit for a queen. (Or, perhaps, a Princess. Ahem, Meghan Markle.)
Foy isn’t the only star to ditch blonde waves for a brunette pixie. Fellow British model and actress, Cara Delevingne debuted a similar cut earlier this year, with a choppier, rocker-chic twist. Other stars, like Katy Perry and Kristen Stewart, have also embraced shorter styles, though seem to prefer blonde.
