What: A festive day of art-making at the Brant Foundation, in collaboration with Free Arts NYC and the Department for Homeless Services
Where: The Brant Foundation Art Study Center, in Greenwich, Connecticut
When: Saturday, September 20th
Who: Artist Dan Colen hosted 101 children from seven New York City homeless shelters, who were given one-one-one instruction by volunteers and artists like Alexandra Chemla, Kalup Linzy, and Annabelle Dexter Jones.
Why: The hope was that as Colen told the kids, “by the end of the afternoon, you’ll consider yourself artists, too.”
