The look: Inspired by the minimal relaxed comfort of West Coast interiors. “But with texture,” says Estee Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux. Matte satin skin, with dark lips and a stripe of metallic shadow from brow to lash. “Almost like a ray of light.”

The Products: Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator, Pure Color Vivid Shine Lipstick in Burnished Bronze or Pure Color High Intensity Lip Lacquer in Electric Wine, all by Estee Lauder.

The trick: “Dab the lipstick on, and keep dabbing,” says Pecheux. “I want a strong stain. As if you’ve been rubbing beet juice on your lips.”

The Scoop: Be patient. These lipsticks don’t launch until August.
