STEP 1: Section hair into approximately two-inch-wide sections. STEP 2: Saturate each section with hairspray or gel. STEP 3: Roll each piece around a soda can. STEP 4: Go outside. Draw stares. Walk proud. Break into song. Head for the club. STEP 5: After dancing, unravel hair from soda cans. Run fingers through curls and shake them out to create what Josh calls a “lifted at the root,” voluminous finish. STEP 6: Recycle cans.
