On Tuesday night, Kylie Jenner did what some might say is antithetical to her ethos as a celebrity—she revealed an esoteric fact about herself to the public that everyone somehow did not already know. In fact, the secret fact about herself was enough to get everyone online talking about how unbelievable it was that at 21 years old, Kylie Jenner allegedly had cereal with milk for the first time in her life.

As shocking as this fact may be, Jenner explained via Twitter that she just simply “always liked cereal dry” and “never bothered to put milk” in the bowl along with the breakfast delicacy, but that it was “life changing” to experience. Naturally, this caused some incredulous fans to reply with some very important questions about Jenner’s first time experiencing cereal and milk in the same bowl together. There was also the occasional Get Out cereal-and-milk meme—referring to Alison Williams’ character’s psychotic one-by-one separation of Froot Loops from a glass of milk—which Jenner, unlike her sister Kim Kardashian, found funny. What kind of cereal was she trying with milk for the first time? What kind of milk did she use? Which went in the bowl first—the cereal or the milk?

Of course Jenner knew that the shock of discovering that she had never tasted cereal and milk in the same bite before in all of her 21 years of this earth would dredge up some of those big questions, and she obliged her fans with some answers. First, she ate Cinnamon Toast Crunch. No offense to anyone who likes to eat cereal without milk, but if she’s been eating that cereal dry for so long, would those tiny shards of sugar and wheat product in that particular brand not cause miniature abrasions and cuts in the mouth without a droplet of moisture from the milk? This is almost like that time Rooney Mara said she didn’t eat pie until she was 31 years old, but somehow less relatable.

Jenner also told her fans that she had “regular” milk (no word on if that means whole or skim, though one can assume she meant dairy), but might like to try almond next time (that is, if there will even be a next time, as she admitted “milk was cool once i gave it a chance” in a follow up tweet on the matter). Thankfully, Jenner followed the one often contested rule about eating cereal and milk together in the same bowl—the cereal must always go in first. There’s a first time for everything, and as familiar as the world is with Kylie Jenner by now, she still remains full of surprises.
