“The inspiration was ‘80s raves in England,” explained makeup artist Diane Kendal of the beauty at the Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2015 show. “They wanted the girls to look as though they’d been out dancing.” To create a sheer, clean glow, Kendal perfected skin with Marc Jacobs Genius Gel SuperCharged OilFree Foundation ($48, sephora.com) and powder, and added shine to lids with the Twinkle Pop Eye Stick in Honey Bunny ($28, sephora.com) and lip balm. One coat of black mascara and penciled-in brows added definition, while Marc Jacobs Lovemarc Lip Gel in a brownish-nude shade called Moody Margot ($30, sephora.com) leant a boyish charm. Manicurist Elisa Ferri extended the glow to nails using Milk, a not-yet-released Spring 2015 Marc Jacobs lacquer. Of course, the real star was the hair—a knotted Mohawk style created by Guido Palau using Redken’s Windbown Dry Finishing Spray ($18, redken.com). “It’s not about perfection,” he said. “The imperfections give this hairstyle charm and a Marc by Marc feeling.”
