Aussies and natural beauty product zealots will be familiar with the chic Australia haircare company, Original & Mineral, which opens O&M.nyc, its first concept salon in the United States on Little West 12th Street next week. The menu includes blowouts, cuts, and color using the brand’s famous ammonia-, resorcinol-, and PPD-free formula as well as products like Surf Bomb Sea Salt Texture Spray, Rootalicious Root Lift, and Hydrate & Conquer Shampoo. One of the more unusual design elements in the salon’s new Meatpacking digs is a large communal table at which clients face one another while they get their hair done—perfect for catching up with your mates over a blowout or good old-fashioned eavesdropping.
