It takes a village to get ready for any red carpet event–and none more so than the Academy Awards.

Before the 2017 Oscars, Hollywood’s finest–and their glam squads–revealed how they prepared for the big night on Instagram. For actress Priyanka Chopra, it all started with a hydrating sheet mask before getting her makeup done by Pati Dubroff, while Best Supporting Actress nominee and Moonlight star Naomie Harris used that time to have a snack. When it was finally time for makeup, Salma Hayek and Emma Roberts both went to makeup guru Charlotte Tilbury for their pretty, fashion-forward looks, while Best Actress winner and La La Land star Emma Stone leaned on Rachel Goodwin for her bold, red lip and supermodel Karlie Kloss got her glowing skin from Hung Vanngo.

Here, a closer look at 10 pre-Oscars beauty moments.

Hair stylist Mark Townsend gave Dakota Johnson a playful, twisted half up do for the 89th Annual Academy Awards.

Emma Roberts showed off her final look with makeup done by Charlotte Tilbury and hair styled by Nikki Lee.

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury added the finishing touches to Salma Hayek’s pink lip as she prepared to present at the Oscars.
