Battle of the Summer Parties: The High Line vs. V&A Museum
This week, the High Line in New York and London’s Victoria and Albert Museum both threw summer parties. Here, a side by side comparison of the two events.
This week, the High Line in New York hosted its annual summer party, while across the pond, London’s Victoria and Albert Museum threw an inaugural summer bash. Both events were in honor of public art institutions, but who cares when Kate Moss is present? After all, you don’t really need an excuse to celebrate when the weather is this nice. Or in the words of Riley Keough: “Summer love.” Here, a side by side comparison of the two fetes.
Location, Location, Location The High Line: A 1.45-mile-long New York City park built on an elevated section of a disused New York Central Railroad spur; it opened in 2009. V&A: The world’s largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects; it was founded in 1852.
