NEW YEAR, NEW YOU

Selena Gomez Got a New Haircut, and Is Still Silent on Social Media

New hair, same Selena.

Like many of us, Selena Gomez had a challenging 2016. At the at the American Music Awards, the singer and actress explained her long hiatus earlier this year was a much-needed chance to recuperate from Lupus and the depression it caused.

But, it seems Gomez is ready for 2017 to be a fresh a off with some changes, starting with a fresh haircut. Because she’s been radio silent on social media for quite some time now, the pop star didn’t actually unveil her new haircut—her songwriting partner Justin Tranter did, instead.

Gomez looks like she’s glowing in the photo. Selenators, as her fans are called, will be be thrilled over this photo for another reason: the caption “Music and Love,” which suggests that Gomez is back in the studio working on her long-awaited follow up to last year’s breakthrough Revival, which marked Gomez’s complete transition from a Disney star to a pop icon. One person who’s excited about the possibility of new Gomez music is her former child star peer Nick Jonas, who enthusiastically commented on the photo with the high-five emoji.

Although he could have also added the one for a haircut and the heart eyes emoji.
