Supreme Lipstick May Be Coming Soon

The streetwear monolith Supreme has a tendency to go all out, which usually results in its diehard fans standing in long lines to get their hands on the brand’s latest drop. Their logo has graced everything from suitcases to New York City MetroCards to, well, the New York Post. Now, rumor has it that Supreme is coming for lipstick.

Beauty soothsayer Trendmood1 posted a photo on Instagram of Supreme’s supposedly in-the-works red lipstick. At first glance, the pairing is obvious. Supreme is well known for its beloved red logo. Why not turn that highly recognizable red into a lipstick shade? Product mock-ups suggest the product will be packaged with that iconic Supreme logo spread across the lipstick cap and bullet.

Fans are already making predictions in the comments, like “It will be impossible to buy” and “Prob $80.” They’re also comparing Supreme to Christian Louboutin, which turned its iconic red-bottom heels into a matching $90 lipstick shade a few years ago. But what no one seems to know for sure if whether this drop is actually happening for real.

Even Trendmood, beauty detective, is looking for the cracks in the streetwear brand’s notorious secrecy. “#ComingSoon ?! *We will confirm and keep u updated,” the Instagram caption reads. It turns out that Supreme lipstick has been rumored for quite some time. Back in July, The Source and The Fader both covered a rumored lipstick launch based on “leaks” given to fan Instagram account supreme_leaks_news. Chances are we won’t know for sure until this drop is officially announced—or until we pass a long line of diehards waiting outside the store in the cold.
