Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko showed her seventh couture collection in Paris on Wednesday. In keeping with past seasons, it was a narrative about her homeland. Only this time around, she focused on the '80's and the turn of the 20th century, incorporating several gypsy skirts and puffed-sleeve numbers. But before she made her name as a designer, the Russian beauty got her start as a street-style star, capturing the attention of photographers everywhere with her unmistakably glamorous style. Here, she opens up about her penchant for Topshop, her winter must-have piece, and more.

Define your style:
It is hard to judge myself, however if I would describe it, I'd say elegant and feminine.

Define your newest couture show in three words:
Aristocratical social life of Russia before the end of Russian empire in the beginning of 20th century, carnival and first raves in St. Petersburg in the end of '80's.

That's not three words, Ulyana! Next question: daily uniform?
My daily uniform has two options – it could be as simple as Topshop jeans paired with an oversized sweater or a classical Sirotka dress from the Ulyana Sergeenko collection.

Preferred footwear:
I complete my look with a pair of Louboutin shoes, which are also one of my favorite accessories in my wardrobe.

Nighttime fashion look:
Silk pajama suit, preferably blue or pink.

Best recent discoveries:
Beautiful store selling vintage and antique jewelry in St. Petersburg.

Winter wardrobe must-haves:
Fur coat from Ulyana Sergeenko Couture collection

What’s always in your bag:
An iPhone and lipstick
