After showing an epically sexy Versus Versace Spring 2015 collection on Sunday night, Donatella Versace and Anthony Vacarello took the party to East 46th street. Psychedelic sounds, courtesy of the night’s live performer, singer Annie Erin Clark of St. Vincent, blasted throughout the industrial space’s dance floor. Jumping down from the stage, Clark began moshing against the crowd, eventually going head-to-head with a blonde as the photographers snapped away. The sugar-fueled madness fed upon itself as guests got their fix from branded carts laden with Versace-labeled sweets. “We can have as much as we want? ” “Of course,” responded the modelesque woman who manned the confectionary outpost. Pacified with lollipops, cliques of long-haired models like Anja Rubik, Edita Vilkeviciute, and Constance Jablonski, who walked the runway earlier that evening, camped out on the red bleachers that lined the space. Celebrities like Jennifer Hudson, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj dotted the swirling mass which was made up mostly of well-heeled hipsters, street wear freaks and exhausted fashionistas—who still mustered the energy to dance in their stilettos. Rapper/performance artist K Rizz brought the party back to the ‘90s by instigatinga Cha-Cha Slide moment. Taking off her shoes, one partygoer murmured to her friend, “This is like an Art Basel party with a lot more gold.”
