What Ganna Bogdan Is Renting From Nuuly This Fall

Take her favorite fall trends for a spin.

by Colleen Nika

Ukrainian-born, Los Angeles–based model and filmmaker Ganna Bogdan has always approached personal style cinematically. Heading into fall, she sees “nonchalant masculinity with an Old Hollywood touch” as her North Star, citing an “oversized blazer with a white button-up underneath” and “a good pair of leather pants” as linchpins. That affinity for menswear-inflected dressing is one of her style cornerstones.

Bogdan swears by a good seasonal wardrobe refresh and is relying on Nuuly, the clothing rental company, to do some of the heavy lifting for fall. “I have a bunch of projects that I'm working on, so I'll constantly be on the go,” she says. With plenty of travel ahead — not to mention a September birthday — she plans her looks carefully, trying everything on and photographing each outfit before packing. That way, she can spend less time thinking about what she wears when she arrives — and more time enjoying the trip.

Color is everything in Bogdan’s personal-style cosmos. Red, which she treats as a signature accessory, appears throughout her fall palette, alongside grounding shades of brown and saturated jewel tones. Her advice is simple: “Find your color.”

From borrowed-from-the-boys heritage jackets and long shorts to versatile layering pieces, cozy sweater dresses, and ’70s-inspired denim, her Nuuly edit offers plenty of ways to build around a personal palette — and keep your wardrobe alive as the season unfolds. “Long shorts are a pretty easy styling piece. No matter how tall you are or what your body shape is, they always make you look visually taller and are super easy to pair. Go for a sporty look, or throw a blazer on and you're ready for a chic dinner.” - Ganna Bogdan

“Who doesn't love a baggy fit on a casual Sunday?” - GB

“A sweater dress is like a warm hug from your best friend. It's the perfect piece for fall when it's getting chilly, but you still have a glimpse of summer lingering. Paired with bare legs and some chunky boots, or even a chic heel, it's the ideal fall combo.” -GB

“Layering tops — they’re where it's at for fall. Layers help you create multiple outfits and looks while having a limited amount of clothing, and they give every look a new personality. They also help you create some really nice shapes, and you can always take one layer off as you go throughout the day to refresh your look.” - GB

“Heritage jackets are why I love fall. You can really play around with the fit here — a romantic look, a jacket that looks like it was stolen from your boyfriend on a Saturday night, or your own unique staple piece. Fall is all about heritage jackets, and who doesn't love a jacket with a little bit of history? They only get better with time.” - GB

“There's something about the collar on your polo shirt that gives you that preppy look, even with the most casual sweater. That's why I love preppy style. It makes you look youthful, a little nerdy, and put together. It's a great look for someone who secretly misses wearing a school uniform.” - GB

“I love red with beige — that color combo is always a win. Red makes everything feel passionate, while beige tones it down in the most perfect way. It's ideal for fall.” - GB

“Brown is one of my favorite colors. I feel like it's one of those colors that goes with everything. It's the base of your fall wardrobe. A good brown dress will put you in the chic category in no time, especially paired with some nice chunky silver or gold earrings.” - GB

“This fall, don't be afraid of a statement color. It could become your signature. For example, I think finding that one perfect tone of blue could really bring some magic into your fall wardrobe.” - GB

“There's something about that '70s fit that never gets old. Forever groovy. Pair them with a vintage leather jacket, or even a crisp white button-up, and you're in for a win.” - GB
