amfAR is known for bringing out a glamorous crowd for its international “inspiration galas” and last night’s party in Los Angeles followed suit. Chelsea Handler, Barry Diller, Heidi Klum, Jon Hamm, Dita Von Teese, and Victoria Justice were among those who gathered at the event, which paid tribute to Jeffrey Katzenberg, Chairman of DreamWorks New Media, and Academy Award-winning actress and United Nations Messenger of Peace Charlize Theron in recognition of their contributions to the fight against AIDS. The evening was presented by Harry Winston and MAC Viva Glam, and there equally glitzy auction items to entice the crowd. On the docket? A week in the Maldives for you and five of your closest friends, an artwork called “Donuts (Chocolate)” by street artist Banksy, and two tickets to the Givenchy show in Paris next season, which sold for $50,000. In total, the evening raised over $2 million for amfAR’s AIDS research programs.
