Beauty Insiders Never Leave These Products at Home

Hailee Steinfeld

VIPs like Lily Kwong, Jessica Richards, and Rose-Marie Swift always travel with these beauty must-haves. Perhaps you should, too.

Lily Kwong “Dr. Macrene’s 37 Actives. I reapply it during the day, especially during weeks when you run from shows to dinners. I have a global membership to Equinox, so I’ll just pop into the nearest one and use the mirrors in their locker rooms to reapply my makeup, but I always apply 37 Actives first. It makes makeup go on easier. I also have Nars lipstick in Afghan Red, my little roll-on perfume from Diptyque, Chanel mascara and Clarins cream blush.”

Shen Beauty’s Jessica Richards “I buy every eyeliner on the market, but the one I am loving at the moment is Vapour Beauty Mesmerize Eyeliner and eyeko for liquid. Mascara is another addiction, the one I am loving now is the black magic by eyeko and I always, without fail, carry around my Love and Sage lip balm and this French hand jelly that is like NOTHING on the market.”

RMS Beauty’s Rose-Marie Swift “I have a camouflage set that’s coming out soon. Since I’m older and have discoloration around my eyes, I’ve been using it a lot and carry it around with me. I’ve been testing it out.”

The New Potato’s Danielle and Laura Kosann Danielle: “Caudalie beauty elixir, Aquaphor, Tom Ford Crimson Noir Lipstick.” Laura: “Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat, Farmacy Lip Blooms (either lavender mint or citrus lemongrass), La Roche Posay hand cream and Caudalie Beauty Elixir.”

Hailee Steinfeld “If my bag is big enough, I’ll carry my makeup bag, which has a lot of unnecessary things in it—I use about half of what’s in there. If the bag is smaller, I tend to take Estee Lauder pressed powder, and a nude lip balm.” Photo by BFA

Ashley, Kristie, and Jenn Streicher Ashley: “Smashbox Fireball lipstick and By Terry cover-up.” Kristie: “My pale pink Smashbox lipstick and Rhoto Eye Drops.” Jenn: “A lot of lipsticks, one pressed powder and these Japanese rose- scented eye drops. They come in this adorable little pink Chanel-like bottle. They’re menthol-y, which I love feeling on my eyes. It kind of wakes me up.”

Lisa Hoffman “Since I usually don’t have time to run home after work to re-do my makeup before going out to dinner, I carry a makeup bag in my purse at all times. At the moment it contains Victoria Jackson’s No Makeup Makeup Foundation Duo, as well as her mascara, Clinique’s Chubby Stick in Mighty Mimosa, which I use on my cheeks and lips, Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes lipgloss in Pink Peony, Serge Lutens Eye shadow 1 palette, Color Wow Root Cover Up (to help conceal grays), Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow, and Visine eye drops, which are essential.”
