Esprit Dior Comes to Seoul

Christian Dior South Korea

This weekend, Christian Dior celebrated its new six-story boutique in Seoul, South Korea with the launch of an impressive exhibition. Style blogger Sofie Valkiers was on hand to document the opening. Here, some of her highlights.

“This room shows the true spirit of Dior and sheds light on all the different shapes and silhouettes with each new collection. I loved all the details such as the bows, the hats and the cuts of the jackets.” Photo by @Sofievalkiers.

“Here I’m in the Atelier room, which displays the sketches and clothes as they are laid out in the ateliers in Paris. To match, I’m wearing a white Dior dress with embroidered flowers—my must-have for this summer!” Photo by @Sofievalkiers.

4

“This room was inspired by Versailles and Marie Antoinette and it was so interesting to see how Raf Simons is still using these old shapes to make modern, fresh clothes for the women of now. It’s my favorite part of the exhibition!” Photo by @Sofievalkiers.

“The Bar Jacket is such an iconic piece created by Mr. Dior! Over the years it was reinterpreted in many different ways and has proven to be a classic. I think it’s something that every woman should have in her closet.” Photo by @Sofievalkiers.

“The glassed mirror room was perfect for taking amazing pictures—I could see 3D reflections everywhere! I was sitting on the floor and watching the Dior fragment videos for almost half an hour.” Photo by @Sofievalkiers.

“The flower has always been the signature of Dior and this themed room was just pure magic. The flower gowns looked gorgeous and fresh, definitely one of my favorites!” Photo by @Sofievalkiers.
